Coming Home Songbook Volume VI features the choir arrangements from the final live recording of the Concord Baptist Church Young People’s Revival Choir, bringing to a close the series of songbooks associated with the choir’s live recording projects.
The collection opens with the ever-popular Jesus Is Coming Soon and includes a wide variety of powerful Southern Gospel selections, including God Is Still Good, Safe Thus Far, Made by Mercy, What a Day That Will Be, The Blood Will Never Lose Its Power, Thank God for Grace, and He Still Reigns.
Also included is A Love That Won’t Stop, an arrangement that is also available individually through Church Choir Music.
The original Coming Home recording was particularly meaningful because many former members returned to participate in this final live project. This companion songbook preserves the musical arrangements from that special occasion and makes them available for another generation of church choirs to sing.
These arrangements reflect the traditional, Christ-honoring Southern Gospel style that characterized the ministry of the Revival Choir under the direction of Clint W. Kerns, ThD, and Sis. Donna K. Kerns.
