Description
A Concord Christmas is a unique recording in the history of the Concord Baptist Church Young People’s Revival Choir. While the choir's other major projects were recorded live, A Concord Christmas was the only studio recording produced by the Revival Choir.
Featuring 12 Christmas selections, the project combines beloved traditional carols with Southern Gospel favorites and special arrangements created for the choir.
One of the highlights of the recording is a powerful a cappella performance of The First Noel, featuring choir director Clint W. Kerns, ThD, Randa Jordan of the Jordan Family Band, and Wes Morrison of the Morrison Sisters.
The project also features a special arrangement of Angels We Have Heard on High, arranged by Clint and Donna Kerns. Another standout is Mary Did You Know, featuring Dr. Kerns on acoustic lead guitar, including a memorable instrumental break that became one of the musical highlights of the recording.
From Tell Me the Story of Jesus and Beautiful Star of Bethlehem to O Holy Night and Go Tell It on the Mountain, A Concord Christmas celebrates the birth of Christ through the distinctive sound and ministry of the Revival Choir.
