Description
A Concord Christmas Songbook Volume VII features the choir arrangements from the only studio recording produced by the Concord Baptist Church Young People’s Revival Choir.
This special Christmas collection contains 12 arrangements, combining beloved traditional Christmas carols with Southern Gospel selections and arrangements created especially for the Revival Choir.
Among the highlights is The First Noel, presented on the original recording as a powerful a cappella performance featuring choir director Clint W. Kerns, ThD, Randa Jordan of the Jordan Family Band, and Wes Morrison of the Morrison Sisters.
The collection also includes Angels We Have Heard on High, featuring a special arrangement by Clint and Donna Kerns, along with Mary Did You Know, which featured Dr. Kerns playing acoustic lead guitar on the original studio recording.
Other selections include Christmas favorites such as Beautiful Star of Bethlehem, O Come, All Ye Faithful, Joy to the World, Silent Night, O Holy Night, and Go Tell It on the Mountain.
Unlike the previous six songbooks, which correspond with the Revival Choir's live recording projects, Volume VII accompanies the choir's only studio production. It provides church choirs with a complete collection of Christ-centered Christmas music in the traditional style that characterized the Revival Choir's ministry.
